The 22 bed nursing home is in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by a garden. It offers a conducive environment for rest and healing, for men suffering from AIDS, and in need of nursing care.

 

Patients have exercise daily, have weekly physiotherapy sessions, and monthly laughter yoga therapy. A volunteer nurse visits twice a week to see to patients's specific needs. A physiotherapist visits twice a month. Most patients are on antiretroviral treatment. We ensure 100% adherence to treatment. We make hospital trips on an almost daily basis. Patients are taken for regular appointments and are treated by specialists from 5 different government hospitals, the nearest one being the Infectious Disease Clinic of Sg Buloh Hospital which is 25 km away.

We have a ratio of one caregiver to five patients. Our caregivers manage all aspects of the daily life of patients. Most of our caregivers are former patients themselves who have recovered physically. Several continue to work on their recovery from substance abuse while being of service to our patients.
